Poem: No Need to Forget S.Elyza

Letting you go doesn’t mean to forget,

You don’t need to leave my mind just yet,

But life goes on and I must learn on my own,

And I know now that you like to be alone,

So much like the ever-glowing moon,

So beautiful as it lights the sky in solitude,

But I hope one day if you are too tired to speak,

In the silence you might find some comfort with me,

I’ll share the quiet with you, give you a moment to breathe,

I won’t say a word, simply hear your heartbeat,

If there’s ever a day you need reminders to go on,

Just know I’ll have a list of reasons why you’re strong,

I’ll tell you all the reasons why I admire you so,

Why I always found it hard to let you go,

And if you’re ever ready to open up to love,

I’ll be here to pick up right where we left off.
