Chapel Stile, Elterwater Slate Quarry & Cathedral Cave route
Saturday 5th September
Join Summit Seekrs, Kairen Coaching and Girls Dem Club Limited for an unforgettable day of adventure, connection, wellbeing and community in the beautiful Lake District!
This hike is designed as a welcoming space for everyone. Whether you're coming solo or with friends, you'll be welcomed into a supportive community where meaningful conversations, laughter and new friendships come naturally.
Together we'll explore the Chapel Stile, Elterwater Slate Quarry and Cathedral Cave route — a beginner-friendly trail, tried and tested by our team, that still delivers stunning Lake District scenery. We'll take in breathtaking views, plenty of photo opportunities, and hike at a relaxed, supportive pace with regular breaks. Once we've conquered the trail, we'll head to a local venue for an after-social before making our journey home.
Event Itinerary — Saturday 5th September
6:00 AM – Meet at Watford Junction Station
Coach departs (including a comfort stop 🚻)
New self-drive meeting point: Wainwright's Inn, LA22 9JD — 11:00 AM
Hike begins
Route: Chapel Stile, Elterwater Slate Quarry & Cathedral Cave
Scenic viewpoints & group photos along the way
After-social
5:00 PM – Coach departs the Lake District
Approximately 10:00 PM – Arrive back at Watford Junction

Coach + Hike: £35 – Includes return coach travel from Watford Junction
Hike Only: £10 – Transport not included, simply meet us at Wainwright's Inn, LA22 9JD before the hike begins
Every ticket includes: Berghaus gear (we're proudly sponsored by Berghaus for this hike!), activities, light refreshments, rest breaks, coaching from a licensed life coach, the chance to meet new people, and an after-social with light refreshments.
What to Bring:
Packed lunch
Snacks
At least 2 litres of water
Comfortable hiking boots or trail shoes
Waterproof jacket
Weather-appropriate clothing (layers recommended)
Small backpack
Any personal medication
Hat & sunglasses (weather dependent)
Sun cream
Fitness Level
This route is suitable for beginner to intermediate hikers with a reasonable level of fitness. It includes some uphill sections and uneven terrain, but we'll take plenty of breaks and hike together at a supportive pace.
Solo attendees are highly encouraged! We’re all about creating a friendly, welcoming environment where it's easy to meet new people, step outside your comfort zone and leave with memories that last long after the hike ends.
